Human Anatomy and Physiology with Interactive Physiology 10-System Suite, 8th Edition Hardcover Elaine N. Marieb
I used the previous (seventh) edition and got an "A" in my online anatomy and physiology class. From what I could see there was no difference between the cheaper seventh edition, and ridiculously priced 8th edition with the exception of the picture on the cover!
I gave the book three stars because it was vague and lacked detail in so many areas that it made me confused. I had to clarify a lot of questions by looking at them online.
I sold my book after I finished it for the same amount of money I paid for it, so all it cost me was the original shipping cost.
FYI - I stopped buying books at my campus bookstore after the first semester and have saved over $ 1,000.00 so far, simply by buying used earlier editions.
The latest trick of unscrupulous retailers use is to pack a lot of unnecessary things with the necessary textbooks and sell the "package" at an outrageous price. It is criminal.
I always ask the instructor before hand, what other materials needed and if I can use the previous version. 99 percent of the time they tell me all I need is the textbook and the previous version is OK. Sometimes a professor will insist on the current release and I still save lots of money to buy it used on Amazon.com. When I was done, I resell them, and usually get all my money back!
We must get the word out about college bookstore textbook scam! It is a scandal!
